When does your auction run?
Our goal is to host an auction once a year. The auction typically runs for two months, starting close to the end of the school year.
How do I bid on an item?
To bid on an item, you must first create an account. Once you have an account, you can place a bid on an item by clicking the "Place Bid" button on the item's card. A modal window will open and you can simply complete the required form fields (all of them!) and submit your bid.
What is an auto-bid?
If there is an item you are very interested in and want to mitigate the chances of losing the item to another bidder, you can use the auto-bid feature. This feature allows you to set a maximum bid amount as well as an increment amount for each auto-bid. From there the system will automatically place bids on your behalf up to that amount.
What is buy now?
If an item is available for buy now, you can purchase the item at the buy now price and the item will be yours immediately. Once you click on "Buy Now", you will be taken to a page with details on making this sort of payment. This page will contain a link to our payment processor, Stripe.
How are winners notified?
As bidding progresses on an item, you will receive email notifications if you have been outbid. Along those lines, if you are the winning bidder, you will receive an email notification as well.
How do I pay?
For your security, we use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe is a secure and trusted payment processor used safely and securely across the Internet. "Buy Now" folks will be directed to a special URL at Stripe (see the "What is buy now?" question above) to complete their payment. For non-buy now winners, this highest bidder will receive an email notification once the bidding period ends. This email will contain a instructions and a link to Stripe through which you may pay for your item.
How do I redeem my winning bid?
Winners will receive details in their email notification on how to redeem their winning bid. Additionally, each item will have a redemption period and this period is noted by the "Expires:" date on the item's card.
Privacy Policy?
Our policy regarding user privacy is simple and straight-forward: we collect only what we need for the auction (name and email) and we do not sell or lend or otherwise share your information with anyone. End of story.
Auction Communication?
The only communication you will receive from us is related to the auction itself (bid confirmations, outbid notifications, etc.).
